If anyone fell so ill suddenly that the fast may endanger
his life or will aggravate the illness, then it is permissible for him to break the fast
on this excuse. Or such as there was severe pain in the stomach or was bitten by a snake,
then it is permissible to take medicine and break the fast. In the same way if the thirst became so severe that life is endangered, then breaking of fast is permissible.
If any such thing happens to a pregnant woman that
her life or that of the child is in danger, then she may break the
fast.
If on account of cooking food thirst became so severe
and unbearable that one's life was in danger, then it is permissible
for such a person to break the fast. But if the person was himself responsible to
bring about. such condition by working excessive deliberately, then
it would be a sin.
